Ingloda comes out on DVD May 6th. This is a project that I’ve been paying attention to for the better part of a year.
Brian Targett, who is the Writer/Director was kind enough to answer some questions for us which you can read after the trailer.
How long did it take you to write the script?
It took me about a month to write the first draft and a total of three months to get it to where I needed it to be.
Any horror stories from the film shoot?
Thankfully the shooting process was very smooth. Other than the regular tech problems here and there everything was great!
Any funny stories from the film shoot?
One funny story that comes to mind is when we were shooting a scene were one of the characters was driving and we were in the back with two camera men and a boom op filming. Well she went to make a turn down a side street and ran right into one of those huge orange barrels blocking a pot hole. Luckily no damage done and no one was hurt. We were just laughing very hard.
What was the biggest challenge involved in making this movie?
The biggest challenge with this movie was getting the money together to shoot with. It was our first feature film as a company so we needed to buy all the production equipment and rent some of the camera equipment.
You’ve worked with Lauren Davish on quite a few projects now, how did that partnership come about?
We found Lauren through the audition process and hired her for the lead roll as Kelly. After a few days of working together it became very clear that she was a very talented actress and writer. She help re-write scenes on the fly during shooting. After Ingloda we worked together to write and shoot two other short films.
You were Writer/Director/Executive Producer and Co-Editor for Ingloda, how did you ever get any sleep during filming?
It was very rare to get sleep during the three months of shooting! However, I had an amazing wife who was supportive throughout the whole process and made sure to take good care of me.
How long did Ingloda take to film?
Post Production was August 2012 to December 2012. Production began January 2013 to March 2013. Pre Production was March 2013 to June 2013. In June 2013 before we finished the final cut of the film Hannover House leased the film from us for distribution in US & Canada.
When does it come out on DVD and where can we buy it from?
It will be out May 6th, 2014 and you can pre-order now on Amazon. On May 6th it will be available at Walmart, Redbox, Netflix and some other undisclosed big box stores.
Can you tell us about some of your upcoming projects?
I am working on a few shorts and feature length scripts with On-Ride Entertainment. We are looking to produce a few shorts this summer.
What is your favorite thing about Directing?
My favorite thing about directing would have to be the collaboration. I love working with all the different talented people to bring one vision to life. One other thing is that I love entertaining so seeing how people react is the ultimate satisfaction.
What was your favorite thing about Directing Ingloda?
My favorite thing about directing Ingloda was the family atmosphere we created and as a result we were able to take creative risks together.
