Hen’s Night

Award winning Ottawa, Ontario filmmakers, Kristian Lariviere & Jennifer Allanson, have launched a fundraising campaign for their original, women centric feature film debut, HENS NIGHT.

Hens Night Film Teaser Poster

HENS NIGHT is a female powered horror comedy centered around a bachelorette party gone wrong. “People always think horror films are a male driven genre, but the reality is that women love them too,” says writer/producer Jennifer Allanson “So our aim is to make a horror film where the women aren`t just running away from the killer the whole time. They`re fully formed characters.”

The film is being directed by Kristian Lariviere whose previous short films Puritans, Mary Mae and Pie have won awards and screened at film festivals all over the world. “It`s a great script! It`ll allow us to do something scary, funny and original.”

The HENS NIGHT team is using Indiegogo to help raise funds to cover the production of the film. They offer innovative perks that range from personalized postcards, private karaoke parties and even the cast and crew throwing you a bachelorette party.

They`ve also teamed up with Celebrate Her (http://celebrateher.org/) to organizing a bachelorette themed FUNdraiser happening on Friday May 23rd and Club SAW. The evening will feature local bands, djs, door prizes and sexy games. Details at www.HensNightFilm.com

Biographies:

Growing up in Ottawa, Kristian Lariviere has directed a string of successful short films including MARY MAE, which has screened at film festivals all over the world (including New York, Seattle, Melbourne and Dublin) and is now available on IndieFlix. In late 2013, Kristian wrote and directed PURITANS. This exciting horror short debuted at the 2013 Digi60 Festival winning the Best Director and Best Picture awards. Having learned as much as he could making short films, Kristian is launching into his first feature film, HENS NIGHT.

At the age of four, Jennifer Allanson decided she would be an actor, and stubbornly never looked back. She`s starred in several shorts including DIVORCE and the Ottawa International Film Festival hit HAIKU. Most recently she accepted the award for Best Picture at the 2013 Digi60 Festival for producing and starring in PURITANS. Excited to add “writer” to her resume, Jen has been working on her first feature film HENS NIGHT, a project she will also produce and star in.
