Yesterday’s pick was Pieces. Today we’ll roll with May: a movie that borrows a bit from Pieces.
Pieces is about a man who hates women but loves puzzles (maybe?). May is about an outsider who wants to find someone like her. Or, at the very least, she wants a place to belong. Guys who “like weird”. An ostracized blind girl. She wants someone to love her as much as her doll does. And, if she can’t find that person, she’s willing to make one.
It’s a weird, darkly comedic movie that I fall in love with a little more each time I watch it.
